This salmon is sourced immediately from Kvarøy Arctic, fed a sustainable, nutrient-rich eating plan, lifted without the need of antibiotics or substances, smoked in small batches over a blend of beech, maple, and birch wood, hand-packed, and canned by fifth-generation household-run cannery on the central coast of Washington.
I love salmon. Uncooked, smoked, grilled, baked, fried — I like it all. So when my buddy gifted me this tinned smoked salmon, my curiosity was piqued. The packaging was so lovely, I questioned if the fish would evaluate up to the presentation. Spoiler notify: It absolutely did. I was employed to smoked salmon coming in rather thin slices. These were thick, meaty chunks that reminded me of the texture of my girlfriend’s dad’s do-it-yourself gravlax. The taste was new however smoky (but not overwhelmingly so), a little sweet, a tiny salty, and total of umami. It can be fantastic atop rice, toast, bagels, salad — you name it!
